About

I bring over 2 decades of experience working with children and their families as a certified Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher. Throughout my career, I have supported students with diverse learning, behavioral, and developmental needs in both school and home settings, including working with hospital-home bound students in their homes. Helping children, teens, and adults with special needs reach their full potential is more than a career for me—it's my passion and my calling. I am dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to thrive. My experience, patience, and genuine love for helping others allow me to build strong relationships with families and provide care they can trust. I believe every person has unique strengths, and I am committed to helping others grow, succeed, and become the best version of themselves.

My approach

To me, neurodivergent care means recognizing, respecting, and celebrating the unique ways individuals think, learn, communicate, and experience the world. It is about meeting each person where they are, focusing on their strengths, and providing the support they need to feel safe, understood, and successful. Neurodivergent care is not about trying to change who someone is—it is about creating an environment where they can thrive while honoring their individuality. This means practicing patience, flexibility, empathy, and understanding, while adapting communication and expectations to meet each person's needs. As a certified ESE teacher with over two decades of experience working with children, adults, and families, I have learned that meaningful support comes from building trust, fostering independence, and empowering individuals to develop confidence in their own abilities. My goal is always to help others feel valued, included, and capable of achieving success on their own terms. I believe neurodivergent individuals deserve to be seen for their strengths, heard for their voices, and supported in ways that allow them to reach their fullest potential while remaining authentically themselves.

Experience with neurodivergent care

My connection to the neurodivergent community is both professional and deeply personal. As a certified Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher with more than 20 years of experience, I have worked with students with autism, specific learning disabilities, ADHD, and a variety of other exceptionalities in classroom and home-based settings. Throughout my career, I have partnered closely with families to create supportive, individualized approaches that help each child build confidence, develop skills, and achieve success. My understanding of neurodiversity also comes from my own family. As the parent of a child with a specific learning disability and a family member of individuals with autism, I have experienced firsthand the joys, challenges, advocacy, and resilience that are often part of the neurodivergent journey. These experiences have given me a unique perspective that extends beyond professional training and allows me to connect with families on a deeper level.
