• Payment information: when payment features are enabled, billing details are collected by our third-party processor and are not stored on our servers.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and interactions within the platform.
• Device and technical data: browser type, IP address, and general location inferred from IP.

We use the information we collect to:

• Facilitate connections between families seeking care and sitters offering services.
• Create and display approved sitter profiles to families browsing the platform.
• Process and manage booking requests, confirmations, and cancellations.
• Send transactional emails such as booking updates, account notifications, and security alerts.
• Improve platform features, fix bugs, and analyze how users interact with Safe Space Connect.
• Enforce our Terms of Service and community conduct standards.
• Comply with legal obligations when required.

We do not sell your personal data. We will never sell, rent, or trade your information to advertisers or data brokers.

• With sitters or families as part of a confirmed booking or inquiry — only the information necessary to facilitate the connection is shared.
• With Checkr, our background check provider, to verify sitter identities and criminal history.
• With service providers who assist us in operating the platform (e.g., email delivery, hosting), all of whom are contractually bound to protect your data.
• When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
• In the event of a merger or acquisition, with advance notice to users.

Approved sitter profiles, including bio, photo, experience, and general location, are publicly visible to all visitors. Family profile information is kept private and only shared with sitters in the context of a confirmed booking.

Safe Space Connect uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used.

• Session cookies: keep you logged in as you navigate the platform.
• Preference cookies: remember settings such as filters or display preferences.
• Analytics cookies: help us understand aggregate usage patterns to improve the platform. We do not use these for individual advertising.

• Anonymized or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for platform analytics.

Safe Space Connect is designed for use by adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. While our platform facilitates care for children, the account holder and user of the platform must be an adult.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at info@safespacesitters.com and we will promptly delete it.

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services, including Checkr and safespacesitters.com. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
