Warm, playful sitter with 9+ years supporting neurodivergent kids
About
Hi! I’m Adriana. I’m a mom of 3 and have spent the last 9+ years supporting neurodivergent children in both school and home settings. I’m currently a student analyst continuing my education in Applied Behavior Analysis at Ball State University, but the heart of my approach has always been connection first. I genuinely believe every child deserves to feel safe, understood, respected, and supported for exactly who they are. I’ve always naturally connected with children who are creative, sensitive, curious, emotionally expressive, or simply experience the world a little differently. I love taking the time to truly understand each child’s personality, interests, communication style, and what helps them feel most comfortable and regulated. My personality is naturally calm, playful, patient, and emotionally attuned, and I care deeply about creating meaningful relationships where children feel emotionally safe enough to fully be themselves. Supporting neurodivergent children is something I feel genuinely passionate about because I believe these are incredible kids who deserve empathy, compassion, understanding, and support that feels thoughtful and truly meaningful to them.
My approach
My approach is gentle, patient, and relationship-centered. I believe children do best when they feel emotionally safe, genuinely understood, and supported with empathy and compassion rather than pressure or harsh correction. I never want children to feel rushed or like they need to hide parts of themselves in order to be accepted. Instead, I focus on meeting children where they are, understanding the reason behind behaviors, and supporting them in ways that work best for their individual needs, personality, and nervous system. I value emotional regulation, trust, flexibility, humor, creativity, and helping children build confidence in themselves over time. More than anything, I want the support I provide to feel meaningful, intentional, and rooted in genuine care. I care deeply about helping neurodivergent children feel respected, valued, and celebrated for exactly who they are, while also helping create greater understanding and compassion for neurodivergence in the world around them.
