About

Hi, I’m Brelynn! I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment for the children I babysit. I’ve been a nanny for 2 years along with babysitting for 5 years. My love for children came about when my baby sister was born. We have a 13 year age gap, so I’m basically a second mom to her and love her so dearly.

My approach

As someone who is also neurodivergent, I bring both personal understanding and compassion into the way I care for children. I approach each child with patience, flexibility, and respect for their unique needs and communication styles. I focus on creating a calm, supportive environment where kids feel safe, understood, and free to be themselves. I value connection over compliance, support emotional and sensory regulation, and believe in meeting children where they are while encouraging confidence and joy.

Experience with neurodivergent care

I have experience supporting neurodivergent children with a variety of needs and communication styles. I babysat a wonderful 10-year-old girl with ODD, ADHD, SPD, and anxiety for over a year, where I learned the importance of patience, flexibility, emotional regulation support, and creating a calm environment built on trust and connection. I also worked closely with a loving 11-year-old girl with Dandy-Walker syndrome for a year. She used a speech device to communicate and could also answer yes/no questions clearly. She was unable to walk independently, so she moved throughout the house by scooting or being picked up. She was cognitively age appropriate and very expressive. This experience strengthened my understanding of accessible communication, mobility support, and meeting children where they are while encouraging independence and confidence.
